Why is it “suddenly” so expensive?
After the change in state building codes (DBN) at the end of 2023, the cost of building shelters in Ukraine increased several times. This is an objective fact, not someone’s desire or reluctance.
The walls of buildings should now be thicker, the reinforcement should be larger, the load threshold should be higher, and the space for children, when it comes to school shelters, should be 2.5 times larger for each child.
In addition, school shelters should have a dual purpose – to be not only a protective structure, but also, at the same time, a full-fledged space for normal learning for schoolchildren.

– In my opinion, everyone should approach the current realities with a balanced approach, as they say, “with a cool head.” It’s not easy for anyone these days. Everything is getting more expensive, we feel it.
If questions or certain doubts arise regarding the budget, deadlines, and procedure for implementing certain security facilities, Ukraine has appropriate structures and organizations that are capable of professionally (!) clarifying the essence of matters and automatically eliminating various kinds of manipulations and far-fetched “thoughts,” which often have no proper basis.
